The Serie A-winning manager stated that his team's first Champions League encounter versus Manchester City will be a showdown of "students against the teachers," mentioning that he has consulted Kevin De Bruyne about his former club.

Although being Serie A champions, the manager regards his side as still developing as they gear up for their first match in the new 36-club structure of the tournament.

"We are certainly facing a team where history speaks for itself," Conte said. "They are a top club with a world-class manager. We arrive with great humility following an amazing season previously."

De Bruyne’s Insight and Role

The playmaker joined the Italian side on a free move this summer following ten years at Manchester City. The coach disclosed that he has asked De Bruyne for tips regarding his old team.

"I spoke to De Bruyne, I’ve asked him a few things concerning City," the manager said. "He was a member of that team for 10 years and had a great tactician like Pep Guardiola."
