ABC revealed that the late-night talk show will be pulled until further notice following on-air remarks made by the host concerning the killing of the conservative speaker.

ABC declared on midweek, stating that the show would be substituted for the foreseeable future. A network representative clarified that preempting means another program will be shown in the program's block.

This action followed one of the largest broadcast groups stated it would likewise replace Kimmel's program on all its owned and affiliated stations. The broadcaster cited objections over the host's comments related to the killing of the commentator.

What Led to the Suspension
