To prepare the Syrup: Put every ingredients in a pan, bring to a light boil, mixing so the sugar melts. After that, turn off the heat allowing it to cool entirely. Decant to a sterilised bottle, cap it and store chilled, where it will keep for around one month.
To make Cocktail Base: Mix all the liquids into one sizeable container, let it rest for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Pour 85ml from the premix into your stirring glass filled with ice, and agitate carefully for about 60 seconds until cold. Filter into an cold coupe glass or similar, decorate with a few cranberries and complete it with a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the drink.
